Janitorial Services and Facility Cleaning
In April 2017, an in-house cleaning system was adopted to ensure consistent cleanliness and proper maintenance across all facilities. Cleaning activities follow established procedures and schedules, covering restrooms, kitchenettes, offices, reception areas, auditoriums, hallways, staircases, aisles, lobbies, and external surroundings.
The janitorial team is responsible for maintaining indoor air quality, cleaning furniture and fixtures, vacuuming carpeted floors, and performing routine spot cleaning. Deep cleaning of auditorium carpets is also conducted quarterly upon request.
Waste Management and Disposal
A waste management agreement was established with the Lagos State Waste Management Agency (LAWMA), through its designated contractor, Richard Bradford, for weekly waste collection, preferably on Saturdays.
The monthly waste collection fees are ₦50,000 for the Plot A3C facility and ₦30,000 for the 71 Oregun Road facility. Following each collection, the janitorial team ensures that refuse disposal points are thoroughly cleaned and maintained in a hygienic condition.
External Environment and Grounds Maintenance
The facility maintenance team oversees the cleanliness and upkeep of all external areas, including parking spaces, surrounding grounds, and other outdoor facilities.
Responsibilities include routine weeding, ground maintenance, clearing debris, and ensuring that external surfaces and shared spaces remain clean, safe, and presentable at all times.
